Recapping A Year of Renaissance

“A renaissance woman is a multidimensional woman of substance. She wears many hats in this life, embracing art and culture to the fullest. She does what she loves and inspires others while doing it.” – STUK Designs LLC.

Beautifully Occupying

I love the idea of the occupy movement. I had an amazing experience when I visited the occupy LA site while activists were allowed to hold camp downtown. I’m glad that people are still maintaining the original concept of Occupy and peacefully protesting the change they wish to see in America. I found this post via Natalya and it is amazing. Strong, uniquely beautiful, women occupying … Get inspired …

The Creation of Space

A lot of people, especially of our generation today are often only together so that they don’t have to be alone. However, to find lasting love, a balanced healthy relationship, and friendship and love combined, you have to first find happiness in yourself. There is a sense of beauty that evolves when you make a choice to create some space for yourself. Society often tells us that being alone is wrong, while in actuality it allows to become in touch with our own stillness and presence. Spending some alone time allows us to come to terms with our own internal truths. It strengthens the trust we have within ourselves so that we can be more open to trusting others. If you can’t be at ease in your own space you will never fully be at ease in the presence of other people. So give it a try, a few days to yourself, maybe even one day away from crowds of people or a social network. Give yourself the gift of alone time this season and strengthen your sense of self, which in turn strengthens the beauty of your relationships with other people.

Eco Friendly Fashion

I love this Parisian collection of eco friendly canvas tote bags. They are made of 100% unbleached and undyed natural cotton canvas. They are affordable and you can customize the bow to a color of your own seclection. Maude and Tilda has a mission to make eco friendly fashion loud, playful, and feminine, so to seduce people to start using totes instead of plastic bags.

It could be just me, but when in line at cvs or on a clothing shopping mission, and the cashier begins putting my items in a plastic bag I get a little stressed out. I rather just stuff my purchases in my own over sized purse. Growing up in the Bay Area my mother was a HEAVY recycling advocate and now while shopping I can’t help but be a little environmentally conscious. I’ve had boyfriends look at me like I’m a little crazy as I go on rants about how they should use a paper bag instead or opt out of the dreaded “plastic bag”. Did you know 1.2 trillion plastic bags are used worldwide each year? 1 million plastic are used each minuet and most times we use those bags about 12 minuets before we just throw them away again. I’m just saying the world is such a beautiful place. Lets just try and fashionably to do our part and preserve it. Shop Here!
